1. Slickrock Adventures: Kayaking from private island in Long Caye, near Glover's Reef was the most amazing vacation I've taken! Sleep in thatched-roof palapas on the beach with trade winds blowing through the windows; eat fresh-caught fish; kayak and snorkel over the barrier reef... it was amazing!

Hey
I recently joined Fan Wiki and I want to inform everyone about Belize. I appreciate culture, history and the environment in a very enamored and zealous manner. Belize is a country dotted with a variety of ethnic groups which includes the Mayas, Mestizo Indians, Garifunas, Asians, Mennonites, Creole, and Spaniards.

Furthermore our jewel of a country is carved with riveting rivers, gorgeous waterfalls, impressive Maya Pyramids, Pine Eco-systems, Rainforest and equally important, astonishing and wondrous Blue Ocean which awaits your insatiable travel appetite. Belize proudly has the second largest living barrier reef in the world. What makes Belize so unique than other travel destination in the entire world is the miraculous diving you can experience, visiting Maya Pyramids that are tucked between exotic waterfalls, and venturing through pristine jungle.

However, the best tour that I have done in my life is the ATM Cave (Actun Tunichil Muknal). This amazing cave was featured in National Geographic as one of the top ten caves in the world. It has garnered so much attention and exceptional reviews that Discovery Channel visited the cave May of 2007. Few days ago, Don Wildman who is the host of “Cities of the Lost Underworld” did a documentary film about this unique cave. The reason why the ATM cave is considered a lifetime experience is because you hike through exotic jungle, cross shallow rivers, swim into the cave with socks and shoes on. In the “dry chamber” you walk around in wet socks on soft, sensitive limestone floor as you witnessed artifacts such as Maya stone tools, skulls, a full skeletal remain and abundance of Maya potteries. What is even more special, spectacular and magical is that these artifacts are untouched, undisturbed and are about 1500 years of age. It is truly a living, natural museum.

If you want to know more about the special attributes that Belize has to offer, please let me know.

Andrew
